Aracon was first established in 1946 by Jan Struhar, a young entrepreneur who had a vision and brought it to life. With a strong work ethic, a desire to satisfy the needs of those around him and a family to support, Jan and his wife Margaret worked endlessly to create a company that they could be proud of. Aracon Venetian Blinds quickly started gaining a reputation as a dependable family business that produced quality products and superior customer service for all of Chicago and the surrounding suburbs.
Carrying out Jan's legacy, Greg, his youngest son, would enter the business 33 years later, followed soon thereafter by his wife Carolyn. Working as a team with an experienced set of employees, Aracon continues to grow and flourish from Jan's initial vision.
